1997 JUNE RUN - STARTING
IN KIRKLAND, WA
Tripping down the road between Whistler and Lillooet and Cache Creek, BC
This was definitely a good ride. Starting at the Sacramento Airport with cheap one way tickets to an excellent BMW dealer, Cascade BMW, in Kirkland, Washington. Federal had shipped our four bikes; A R1100GS (Don), an R90S (Jeff) , and R80GST (Mike) and my R100RT.
We were picked up at the Seattle Airport and taxied to Kirkland by Miles Miller, now a rider of a new K1200. His friendship and help is a testament to him first, and next to the comraderie established by our avocation and communicated on this new medium. And dats da troot.
Mike and
Don on the Chuckanut Trail South of
Bellingham, Wa. They are happy because they just pissed.
We rode this road both ways (get it?).

Gotta go for the Washington/BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay, B.C. Marginal Deli. Nice chairs.
You may have guessed that there is no sane order to these pics. There's no sane order to the June Run.

Same bench, Same Lake, Same Day, Different guys. Don and Mike looking
back toward Fraser Canyon in
Harrison Hot Springs, BC. I was in the room being sick and writing
a defamatory poem about Germans.

R90S outside the Natarts cottage
Jeff finally shows up in Netarts, Oregon with groceries. He cooks and we
eat.
Where was he? "Where's Jeff" is the June Run anthem.
