Jekyll and Hyde, Beauty and The Beast…
This is the best analogy I can come up with to describe the Honda GL1500c Valkyrie affectionately known as The Fat Lady or The Dragon.
This is a “no bull” 1520cc, 6 cylinder, 6 carburetor horizontally opposed engine with the most torque and horsepower available on ANY cruiser made today. That’s why this motorcycle is called “The King of The Cruisers”.
The ride and engine are extremely smooth and vibration free. At normal cruising speed with the throttle barely open you would hardly know the engine was running if it weren’t for the low mellow exhaust note coming out the back of the beautiful long chrome exhaust pipes. However, beware – one twist of the wrist and the Beauty becomes the Beast, Dr. Jekyll turns into Mr. Hyde. The acceleration in any gear at any RPM for a 700 plus pound motorcycle is just phenomenal!
