Balch Park Pack Station serves the Golden Trout Wilderness, Sequoia National Park and Forest. Located at 6500 feet and situated in the largest grove of Giant Sequoias in California, the station offers trips for the novice and experienced rider. Balch Park Pack Station specializes in custom trips for family groups and private parties. Base camps can be reached anywhere from two to five hours ride, depending on your destination. All expense trips as well as spot trips are offered. We customize each trip and menu to suit your needs. The Hockett Plateau area offers great fishing, hunting and photo opportunities. A little used area, this part of the Sierra is pristine and full of meadows, deer and great lakes and streams for fishing. Children are welcome.
